My father and I, photographed by Jordan Junck. This photo was taken in the lower east side of Vancouver, a neighbourhood mired by human hardship. This documents the beginning of an ongoing project I have been working on with my father and teacher, Raqib Brian Burke. An original form of whirling in Turkey was thought to have been practiced by nomadic tribes as a healing ceremony. My intention with this effort is to bring that energy to places in need.
